The newest building on the Brownsville campus of UTRGV is meant to also be a flagship building. The construction documentation and construction administration of this monumental project was a collaboration between Overland Partners (Prime Architect) and Megamorphosis (Associate Architect). Megamorphosis provided on-site representation throughout the course of the project as well as providing dual site support during the production of construction documents. Many custom elements are a part of this building including stucco relief pattern, exterior brickwork, custom light fixtures, handrails, colored ceiling patterns, and custom hand painted tiles. These elements required an extra level of attention to detail and Megamorphosis took a lead role in quality assurance. Though the project was faced with many challenges and questionable contractor time management, Megamorphosis provided timely response, elevated quality control, and relentless client service. The result is a beautiful execution of the campus’s vision.
